During the holiday season, U.S. shipping carriers adjust their rates due to higher volumes. The temporary surcharge is to help carriers effectively manage the increased workload.
Here's what you need to know:
- Surcharge Period: From October 27th to January 18th, a $0.40 surcharge will be applied to all orders with the exception of bulk orders that receive free shipping.
- Actionable Advice: If you serve US-based customers, consider incorporating this surcharge into your existing shipping or product prices to maintain your margins.
Peak season surcharges
DHL will apply peak season surcharges to domestic and international shipments from October 27, 2024 to January 18, 2025. The surcharge varies by weight category for Parcel Plus.
USPS: $2.75 increase for Priority Mail® and $1.25 increase for USPS Ground Advantage™ for packages weighing 11-25 lbs.
We understand that these changes can be challenging, but they’re essential to ensure smooth operations during the busiest time of year. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. If you have questions please reach out to us at support@printedmint.com.
